You may not agree, but should you care to know: there is no sporting event I enjoy more than a baseball game. 

In my stadium seat, I think of the collective hours the men on the field have spent dreaming, practicing, striking out, and stepping back up the plate.

Supposedly, Babe Ruth once said, “it's hard to beat a person who never gives up.”

And so I commit to finishing the soft pretzel in my hand.

Athletes model perseverance better than most.
