This winter, I took a 5-week Beginner Ceramics course. The first bowl I made looked like a tractor ran clear over it. The second bowl was only slightly lopsided, though somehow an entire chunk was missing from its rim. The third bowl was marginally better than the second, and the fourth marginally better than the third.
Then, something clicked. Sound the trumpets! This bowl ^^ was the fifth and final bowl I made in class. It's symmetrical, centered and can hold about 8 ounces of liquid or ice cream or guacamole. *Heel click!* *Air five!* *Shimmy dance!*
